Our waters are protected by distance from heavily populated and polluted areas, allowing marine life to thrive. In fact, with over 15,000 known marine species, our waters boast about 10% of the world’s marine bio-diversity.
At Sanford Fishmonger, we take great pride in our history and connection to the land and sea. Our ancestors have been harvesting kai moana (seafood) from the waters surrounding New Zealand for generations, and we continue that legacy today. We believe in treating our seafood with the utmost respect and care, ensuring that it is harvested sustainably and responsibly to protect the health of our oceans and marine ecosystems so that future generations can continue to enjoy it.
